How this was worked out

Postcode areas ranked by the number of crimes recorded in the most recent twelve months of open police data. Coverage is limited to the postcode areas currently ingested, so this is a ranking of covered areas, not of the whole UK.

Source: open police recorded-crime data. As of 2026-09-05 (crime window 2026-02 to 2026-07). The median is used rather than the mean so a few unusual sales do not distort a figure.
